Jetpilot first got involved in the wakeboard industry in 1995, when they noticed the growing sport as an opportunity to evolve their brand. Jetpilot then began their contribution to the industry through sponsoring a wide variety of sporting events:

In the late 90s, Jetpilot was an active sponsor of the freestyle motocross series in the USA, and have continued to sponsor US and Australian motocross riders with clothing since.
In the late ‘90s, Jetpilot were the lead organisers of the freestyle motocross (FMX) in the Australian X Games. Jetpilot was also the organisation which introduced FMX to the games.
In the late ‘90s, Jetpilot and Rick Roy started their very own Freeride Watercraft Tour which single-handedly shifted freeriding all over the world. The tour travelled across countries such as South Africa, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Hawaii, Canada and more. Collectively, the team created a host of show-stopping moments, including the very first backflip on a stand-up watercraft — The Rickster Back Flip.
In 1996, 1997 and 1998, Jetpilot sponsored the Wakeboard Tours. This allowed additional exposure in the Mastercraft US Masters, and Wakeboard World Finals.

Fast forward to today and Jetpilot has become one of the leading accessory brands in the watersports marketplace. Getting fitted for a Jetpilot PFD

When trying on a Jetpilot PFD, it’s important that it fits tight to the skin — just not so tight that it’s difficult for you to breathe! Although your Jetpilot PFD may feel uncomfortable at first, once you get the jacket wet it will make much more sense and feel more comfortable. If you’re not stretching it to get the zipper done up, there is a chance that the vest will become too big and result in it moving once you’re in the water. This isn’t just a matter of possibly getting wet, either — an ill-fitting jacket can take away from the safety features.

Picking the right Jetpilot jet ski life jacket

Jetpilot life jackets come in a great range of colours, sizes and fits, so it’s important to pick one that suits your specific needs. When you’re choosing your life jacket, there are a few key points to keep in mind:

You want a jacket that fits tightly but comfortably — this will ensure that when you get in the water and use it, it won’t move around on you.
When sizing a life jacket, the most common rule of thumb is to measure around the thickest part of your chest and match it to the vest’s measurement specifications.
You want a jacket with the right features for its use. For example, if you’re using a sit-down jet ski, a jacket with handles will give any passengers something to hold onto, helping ensure their safety too.
If you can put more than 3 fingers in the gap between your shoulders and the vest, the life vest is too big. If it’s too big, then the vest won’t keep your head above water in an emergency.
Make sure the neck section or collar does not sit up around your head — it should sit just above your shoulders, to ensure that you’ll be able to float properly if necessary.
If you’re planning to use the life jacket at night, it’s essential that you get one with reflective tape, so that you’re visible in the water.
